Jesse Lingard signed a new contract with Manchester United on the eve of his deadline day loan move to Derby County.
Lingard,
22, has linked up with Steve McClaren's Championship promotion chasers
for the remainder of the season but is highly rated by United boss Louis
van Gaal.
One of the few members of the 2011 Youth Cup winning
side still contracted to United, Lingard played against Roma and Real
Madrid during United's pre-season tour and scored against Liverpool in
the International Champions Cup friendly in Miami.
He was
rewarded for his progress with a full debut on the opening day of the
season against Swansea, however a knee injury forced him to hobble off
in 24 minutes into the first-half.
