Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is relishing the FA Cup quarter finals
clash with Manchester United.
The Gunners are keen to defend the FA
Cup but will have to go through the Red Devils after they were drawn together.
Arsenal booked their place in the
last eight with a 2-0 win over championship side Middlesbrough while United
qualified for the quarter finals at the expense of Preston North End.
Speaking to the club’s official
website, Wenger said:
"It's an interesting and
exciting draw.
"We are the holders of
this cup and we want to do absolutely everything to keep it. At some stage you
have [to play the bigger teams].
"Last year we played Liverpool,
Everton, Tottenham and that's what you do to get through. It's a good
opportunity for us that we want to take."
The two teams have won the
competition a joint record 11 times.
United, who have not won the famous
competition for over a decade will host Arsenal at Old
Trafford on Monday March 9.
