Manchester United are moving closer to securing goalkeeper David De Gea on a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard, who has arguably been the Premier League's top goalkeeper this season, has only a year left on his contract.
Europe's top clubs, including Champions League winners Real Madrid, have been on alert to move for the £30m-rated ace.
The Reds are said to be ready to offer the 24-year-old a huge
£200,000-a-week contract to keep him out of Real's clutches and
according to the Daily Star, have opened discussions with him about
signing a new deal.
His agent Jorge Mendes recently hinted De Gea could move on.
He said: "David is amazing, he's brilliant. He's a Man United player and has a contract there.
