Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has proposed stiffer penalty be imposed those teams that violate Financial Fair Play regulations.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester
City were slapped with heavy fine last season for breaking the rules following
their years of free spending, but the Portuguese tactician feels that the
impact would be greater if a team had points docked.
Mourinho told reporters: "I
enjoy the challenge of the English competition.
"It's a good challenge. The only
thing that it is not nice is that you compete against the [clubs] who don't
follow the same rules.
"That's the only problem. I
don't think, and it's happened before, a team can be champions when you are
punished because you didn't comply with Financial Fair Play."
When asked how teams should be
punished, Mourinho added: "Points. Of course. I don't know [how
many]."
