Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony says that winning a trophy
with your national team beats any success at club level.
The 26-year old, who is yet to
feature for the Premier League Champions following his £25m move from Swansea
City in January, was part of the triumphant Ivory Coast side in the just
concluded Africa Cup of Nations.
Bony is however hopeful that success
with his country will spur him to win silverware with his club.
Bony told FIFA.com:
"There is no comparison. Winning something with your club is great, but
your national team is your national team.
"You are playing for your
country and there is nothing that can beat that. So I will always take a
victory with my country. But I do hope that this victory has lifted me to win
things with the club also."
The Citizens are currently struggling
in the Premier having fallen seven points behind leaders Chelsea and will need
the services of the hit-man to turn around their season.
